These baked chicken wings are easy to make; they are crispy and delicious. Simply bake them in a 425°F oven for 40 minutes.
Ingredients
- 4 pounds chicken wings split tips removed
- 2 tablespoons baking soda aluminum free
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt or 1 teaspoon of salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika or smoked paprika
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F. Line two rimmed baking sheets with foil and fit them with wire racks. You can also use parchment-lined baking sheets.
- Spray the wire racks with non-stick spray. Use paper towels to pat the wings VERY dry and place them in a large bowl.
- Combine the salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and baking powder in a small bowl. Add this mixture to the large bowl to coat the wings.
- Arrange the coated wings in a single layer on the wire racks, not touching each other.
- Bake the wings until cooked through and their skin is browned and crispy, for about 40 minutes turning every 5-10 minutes to ensure all sides get crispy.
- Serve immediately. They pair well with blue cheese or ranch dressing.
